I have the bad habit of popping my own neck. I saw Etni trying to mimic me once and I had to say something drastic enough to scare her away from ever attempting it again. Apparently, I was successful, but now I need to take my own advice...according to Etni.
"Moooom. Don't do that. You will break your head off."
------------
This next quote gave me all the motivation I needed to start working out since giving birth 3 weeks ago!
"Mom, why are your arms so fat?"
------------
We were traveling back to Canada from Washington and I told Etni she couldn't have ice cream until we got to Kalispell, Montana. After asking us a very serious question, my husband and I couldn't help but laugh and laugh and laugh...
"Are we in Hannah Montana, yet?"
-------------
While driving up the Chief Mountain Highway to get to the Montana/Canada border crossing, we told Etni to make sure she had her seat belt on because the road is very "windy," and in her defense, that word does sound a lot like "whiny."
Me: "Etni, put your seat belt on. This road gets really windy."
Etni: "Whiny? Oh, like a baby!"
Me: "No, windy."
Etni: "Yeah, like a baby!"

After dropping off my husband at his work cabin, I was heading to the car to make the 1 hour and 15 min drive home at 10:30pm. I was exhausted so I told my husband I would just slap my face the whole time I was driving to stay awake. Etni's response was very matter of fact. If only you could hear the tone she used when saying it! She knows everything, you know...
"Uhh, mom, you have glasses. You can't slap your face or you will smash your glasses and break them."
Loved them! And Etni is definitely the same age as Nicole. :)
